does anyone want to teach unc here about visual kei. i'm noticing so many of you are into it, and while i am familiar with the term in like, a l'arc en ciel and malice mizer kind of way since those were popular when i was a kid, it's so out of my element anymore and i'm totally out of touch with any subgenres within the genre

show me your favorite songs / performances, tell me facts idk!! ! ! i want to hear about your passions :]

well it really depends on what kind of sound you like!! i’ll give some recommendations for stuff i like but it might be different from what you like or are familiar with :-) i really like mamireta, avelcain and hitchcock when it comes to deranged edgy stuff (menhera kei) avelcain and hitchcock are both disbanded and are under the same label but the vocalists are both in new bands now! a smaller band i always recommend is tomei shojo (透明少女) but theyre completely different from the first 3,, theyre more like electronic and pop. lighter, catchy stuff. there are a lot but i cant think right now, if you let me know what kind of sound you’re looking for, i might be able to name more :-)

i'm actually not looking for anything in particular, sorry to be so unspecific haha. i have a pretty broad taste when it comes to music, there's not a lot i'm put off by. thanks for the suggestions so far, though!
